It is vital to engage in self-care regularly, especially if we are caregivers.  Emotional well-being is critical to happiness and longevity, so we all need to be mindful about protecting and nurturing it.  Many of us may engage regularly in suppressing our emotions when they seem bothersome or unimportant to others.  It is crucial not to bottle up what makes us unique.  We matter and our opinions matter regardless of who is telling us something different.  We need to be our authentic selves and make decisions based on our true feelings.  If family or friends view us and our opinions as inconvenient, we need to consider investing our time and energy in others that do see value in us.
